My name is Asbjørn Heggelund and I photograph nature in Northern Norway.

In May 2026, I purchased new photography equipment – the OM SYSTEM OM-1 Mark II and M.Zuiko 50–200mm f/2.8 IS PRO. Since then, photography has taken on an even greater role on my trips, and I have become particularly interested in birds, wildlife and macro photography.

The trips often take you to islets, fjords and mountains, often starting from the boat. I never quite know what I'll come home with. One day it might be a white-tailed eagle filling the viewfinder, a small detail in the heather that becomes a macro image, or a landscape bathed in the midnight sun.

For me, photography is primarily about being outside, experiencing nature and trying to capture the moments that I notice.
